GATE ARCHITECTURE & PLANNING
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of undergraduate subjects in Architecture and Planning.
The score is used/mandatory for admissions to postgraduate architecture and planning programmes (eg. M.Arch, M.Plan and Phd) in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies. The score may also use by Public sector units for employment screening purposes.
The GATE Architecture score would reflect the relative performance level of the candidate in a particular subject, which is quantified based on the several years of examination data.
One of the interesting thing about GATE Architecture is that score is valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of the results. So, if you're giving your GATE exam in 2021, so your score will be valid till 2024.

GATE(Architecture and Planning) is becoming almost mandatory exam for all B.Arch. and B.Plan students, due to the value it holds, for further education and future career possibilities. Brief Syllabus for GATE Architecture/Planning 2022
As architecture has no boundaries, there is always an immense possibility of spending entire life learning architecture. GATE Architecture exam not only test your knowledge you've studied while pursuing graduation in Architecture and Planning but it also test your technical awareness regarding various domains in Architecture. It is necessary for candidates to initiate their GATE Architecture and Planning exam preparation for as early as possible because the syllabus covers topics in-depth and is very vast. GATE Architecture and Planning exam 2022 syllabus has been divided into eight sections and the questions in the exam will be asked from these eight sections only. Overall exam will haver 65 questions, broadly divided into two parts. Part A & B.

Eligibility for GATE Architecture 2022
1.
Candidates must have passed Graduation or Post Graduation in Architecture/ Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts from a Government approved Universities.
2.
A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or pursuing post graduation in any government approved degree program
3.
Candidate who have obtained or pursuing qualifying degree from countries other than India, he/she must have completed or in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree with a least course duration of 4 years
4.
Candidates who have completed or are in the final year of their postgraduate degree in any relevant disciplines, the duration of course should not be less than 2 years
