GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Architecture is a crucial step for students aiming for M.Arch, advanced studies, and opportunities in top institutes and PSUs across India.
For 2026, the schedule is expected in August 2025, with the exam likely in February 2026. It assesses architectural aptitude, planning, construction, environmental studies, reasoning, and technical knowledge—building a strong foundation for higher education and professional growth.
More than just an exam, GATE Architecture is a benchmark of conceptual clarity and technical proficiency, enabling admission into premier institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology, National Institutes of Technology, and School of Planning and Architecture, along with access to fellowships, research, and PSU careers.
EXAM PATTERN
The NATA is conducted in two parts.
PART A- DRAWING
(OFFLINE)
Drawing questions focused on design thinking and visualization.
PART B- COGNITIVE
(ONLINE)
MCQs evaluating logic, numeracy, awareness, and visual perception.
ELIGIBILITY
Admission to B.Arch through NATA requires
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
or
10+3 Diploma with Mathematics
*securing at least 50% aggregate marks.
**No upper age limit as per COA guidelines.
