JEE Main Paper 3 is a widely known exam among B.Planning Aspirants. Some major changes have been introduced in Exam Pattern in the year of 2020. National Testing Agency ( NTA) introduced a separate paper for B. Planning last year. Students who are seeking pursue Bachelors of Planning need to give IIT JEE Paper 3 instead of a common paper for both B.Arch and B. Plan.

What is Planning (B.Planning.) Paper 3?
Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) is a full time four years undergraduate course. It involve planning techniques for human settlements which are very crucial part of development. The working areas include metropolitan cities, small cities, congested towns and also villages,This also involve the transportation lines like metro planning. The main objective of pursuing B.PLAN to meet the requirement of available resources and use it wisely ,to plan things for future generation as well as present people living in the world for making maximum proper use of natural material presents on the earth by trying to environment friendly.

Exam Pattern of JEE Paper 3 B.Planning?
JEE Main Paper II for B. Arch is a 3-hour exam. The applicants will be tested on the basis of their Architecture Aptitude, Mathematics, and Town Planning based problems. The Architecture Aptitude section holds most weightage with 50 questions, followed by 25 questions from mathematics and 25 MCQs from Town Planning part.
JEE Main paper 3 is divided into three sections, Part- 1 as Mathematics, Part-2 as General Aptitude and Part-3 as Planning. Part 1 and Part 2 are common for students of both B.Arch and B.Plan. Part 3 contains questions from drawing for B.Arch students while for B.Plan students, Part-3 will have general questions from planning. Student's appearing for both B.Arch and B. Planning i.e. Paper 2 and Paper 3 simultaneously, they will be alloted additional 30 mins after 3 hrs for B.Arch examination.
Planning colleges accepting the JEE Paper 3 Scores, consider opening & closing ranks of the candidates as eligibility criteria to get admission in their institute. National Testing Agency (NTA) prepare different Merit and Ranking list based on students performance in exam. In B.Planning, all the seats in best available institutes across India, filled at around AIR 2000. Architecture Aptitude

General Awareness regarding famous National and International Architects, Buildings, UNESCO Heritage Sites, Architecture Materials. Basics about Building Structures, Colour Texture, Different Building Forms, Indian Geography, Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build-environment and etc.

Visualizing 3-dimensional objects from 2-dimensional drawings and vice versa. Visualizing different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning, Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical & Verbal).

Will assess general knowledge, and ability to think in new situations. Reasoning would be asked in various topics that assess candidates on basic concepts in mathematics, physics and geometry, language and interpretation, elements and principles of design, aesthetic sensitivity, colour theory, lateral thinking and logical reasoning, visual perception and cognition, graphics and imagery, building anatomy and architectural vocabulary.

Exam Pattern for IIT JEE Mains PAPER 3 (B.Plan) 2021
Exam Mode
NTA conduct JEE Paper 3 completly online. Both parts of exam are conducted as Computer Based Tes (CBT)
Type of Questions
There will be 50 MCQ questions in Aptitude section followed by 25 question of Mathematics in MCQ & NAT format. Planning section will comprise of 25 MCQs
Maximum & Minimum Marks
Overall JEE Paper 3 exam will be of 400 Marks, whereas NTA publish results in percentile format
Marks per Questions
For every correct answers in MCQ's and NAT section, marks will be alloted, whereas -1 will be deducted for wrong answer. However, there won't be negetive marking for NAT
Duration of Exam
Overall duration of exam will be of 180 mins i.e. 3 hrs. No time limit for individual questions
Language of Exam Paper
The medium of JEE Paper 3 exam will be in English, Hindi & Gujrati language only.
Eligibility for IIT JEE PAPER 3 (B. Planning) 2021
1.
The eligibility for admission to 1st year of 4-year B.Plan. Degree program for the academic session 2021- 2022 shall be as per NTA and AICTE Regulations, 2020 or as may be amended by the Central Government.

Candidates need to pass 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as a mandatory subjects, or 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a mandatory subject.
3.
No direct lateral admission is allowed at any year/semester/stage of B.Planning course based on any qualification.
4.
As per National Testing Agency (NTA), qualifying IIT JEE Paper 3 B.Planning is mandatory for seeking admission in B.Plan. program across SPA's, NIT's and other CFTI's
