IIT JEE MAINS PAPER 2A (B.ARCH)
JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for students aspiring to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree in premier institutions across India, including SPA's, NITs, and other centrally funded technical institutes. Admission to B.Arch programs in many institutes is based on qualification in JEE Main Paper 2 (Aptitude Test for Architecture).
The JEE Main Paper 2 examination is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA), usually in two sessions — January and April. This provides students with an opportunity to appear more than once and improve their scores.
The test evaluates a candidate’s Mathematics proficiency, drawing ability, spatial visualization, logical reasoning, and architectural awareness, which are essential skills required for pursuing architectural education and building a professional career in architecture.
EXAM PATTERN
The IIT JEE MAINS PAPER 2 is conducted in two parts.
PART A- COMPUTER BASED TEST (ONLINE)
MCQs evaluating Mathematics and Aptitude sections — the most important components of JEE Main Paper 2.
PART B- DRAWING
(OFFLINE)
Drawing questions focused on design thinking and visualization.
ELIGIBILITY
Admission to B.Arch through IIT JEE Paper 2 requires
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
or
10+3 Diploma with Mathematics
*securing at least 50% aggregate marks.
**No upper age limit as per COA guidelines.
